    What Neuroscience & Behavioral Science Have To Say About That!
    Guest Speaker: Dr. John B. Molidor, CSP

    Have you ever wondered how your brain really works, how it sometimes drifts away, or why you sometimes talk to yourself (even when you are presenting)? In this session, we take a look inside your brain and nervous system (and how they function together), examine how your brain is biased toward certain speaking behaviors (and it is biased), explore how both brains and bias influence your presentations, and show how your audiences learn (or don't).

    Recent findings in neuroscience and behavioral science indicate what has to happen in order for behavior to change (both yours and your audience's), which is ultimately the effect that many of us desire as speakers. Many of us have also gotten to the point where we typically know what works and what doesn't, but we often don't know the underlying reason why. This research shows the why, the how, and a process to do so consistently.

    In this presentation, we translate some of the brain science into applicable, doable, and easily implemented steps for stronger speaking.

    About the Speaker

    Dr. John B. Molidor, CSP is a Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine. He also has strong ties to the great state of Minnesota, where he did his undergraduate work at the University of St. Thomas. And he is the CEO/President of the Neuro Based Leadership Institute.

    John loves talking about the brain, understanding how it works, and using it more effectively and efficiently. He works with individuals and organizations to be stronger leaders, better decision-makers, and more inclusive.     Chapter Meeting -- Rock the Virtual Stage: Creating A Bookable and Memorable Online Experience

    For decades, professional speakers have been known for the art of standing in front of a live audience and communicating their message. On top of that we were in quarantine and much of the technology I wanted to order was sold out everywhere. I had to figure it out and figure it out fast.
