BRAINS | BIAS | SPEAKING
What Neuroscience & Behavioral Science Have To Say About That!
Guest Speaker: Dr. John B. Molidor, CSP

Have you ever wondered how your brain really works, how it sometimes drifts away, or why you sometimes talk to yourself (even when you are presenting)? In this session, we will take a look inside your brain and nervous system (and how they function together), examine how your brain is biased toward certain speaking behaviors (and it is biased), explore how both brains and bias influence your presentations, and show how your audiences learn (or don't).

Recent findings in neuroscience and behavioral science indicate what has to happen in order for behavior to change (both yours and your audience's), which is ultimately the effect that many of us desire as speakers. Many of us have also gotten to the point where we typically know what works and what doesn't, but we often don't know the underlying reason why. This research shows the why, the how, and a process to do so consistently.

In this presentation, we will translate some of the brain science into applicable, doable, and easily implemented steps for stronger speaking.
