Virtual Showcase: Joe Schmit

Don't Break the Bank Setting Up Your Home Studio

Dolly Parton has one of the funniest quotes ever when she said; "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap." She was obviously having some fun with her brand while she was laughing all the way to the bank.

I would like to take some liberties with Dolly's quote. "It doesn't cost a lot of money to look professional on a virtual presentation or video produced from your home." In this casual presentation, I will show you how I produce videos that look like one of my photographers from Channel 5 shot it when I did it myself. My setup (not including cell phone) is less than $200.

WARNING: I am not a technical whiz. I keep it really simple but make sure the quality of the audio and video is professional. The videos I produce for clients are another revenue stream and a great way to stay in contact with your best customers. I also offer promotional videos for many of my speeches and the meeting planners love it.
