The hard truth about our profession is that most professional speakers will never make a living as a professional speaker. Worse yet, upwards of 20% of our industry simply quits each year to go get a “real job.” Why? Because they believed the assertion that if you have a good story, strong stage skills and passion for your message, that you will be in-demand. It’s not true. Not even close. You have to market. You have to sell your speaking.
