Evolving Business Models

From the 'State of the Union' to the 'State of your Business,' the new year is a good time to take stock of where you are in your work as a professional speaker.  Join Audrey Thomas and Chris Heeter for a conversation about the business end of the speaking world.  

Whether you are new to speaking or a seasoned professional, you’ll find a place in this discussion.  Audrey and Chris will share about their (very different) journeys over the course of their years as professional speakers, then we’ll open it up to talk about things to consider in your business model if you:

• Work for yourself on your own (solopreneur)
• Are still employed elsewhere but are slowly building your speaking business.
• Subcontract for other training companies such as Skill Path, Franklin Covey, etc.
• Provide coaching/consulting/speaking.
• Currently have employees and/or subcontractors working for you
• Or have a different business model entirely, like, say, guiding dogsledding trips in between speaking engagements

This can include anything from retirement planning, to growing your business; from making choices about how much you travel, to hiring an assistant; from financial goals to giving back.  We expect a lively and spirited conversation, resulting in fresh perspectives and ideas as well as a boost of confidence for whatever your next step may be.
