Lifetime Achievement Award
Created in 2012-2013 the NSA Minnesota Speaker Lifetime Achievement Award honor long-time (25+years) chapter members who have made a significant lifelong contribution to enriching the profession of speaking and the advancement and extended growth and health of the NSA Minnesota Chapter. Recipients will embody the spirit and focus of professional speaking and will serve as a positive role model for all future recipients.
The NSA Minnesota Board of Directors will nominate the Lifetime Achievement Award Candidates with the ultimate selection made by the board and past Lifetime Achievement recipients.
The Lifetime Achievement Award may not be awarded annually and will only be awarded based on the availability of truly deserving individual candidates. The NSA Minnesota Lifetime Achievement Award has been bestowed upon:

Minnesota Speaker Hall of Fame
Created in 2004, the Minnesota Speakers Hall of Fame recognizes and honors selected outstanding professional speakers. Modeled after the NSA CPAE “Speakers Hall of Fame,” the Minnesota Speakers Hall of Fame selection criteria will be based on: Speaker’s Material, Style, Experience, Delivery, Image, and Professionalism. The award is not based on celebrity status, number of speeches, amount of income, or volunteer involvement in NSA-MN.

Next Level Award
The Next Level Award is given by the Board each year. Recipients have been active members of NSA Minnesota for at least one year and have significantly moved their businesses forward over the previous year. Any member can nominate any chapter member. Volunteer of the Year Award
Recipients are recognized for their volunteer efforts that are above and beyond the level expected of members. This board of directors selects the winner. The following individuals have received the Volunteer of the Year award:
Newcomer Impact Award

Speaker Academy Award
Recognizes the Speaker Academy member who has developed clarity of vision and a specific plan to advance in the profession of speaking. Platinum Platform Professionals (PPP)
Created in 2000 the Platinum members of the NSA Minnesota Chapter includes all Minnesota Chapter members who are NSA CPAE’s, CSP’s, Minnesota Speaker Hall of Fame inductees, and Past Chapter Presidents. The purpose of the Platinum Platform Professional designation is to: 1) recognize our MN Chapter’s outstanding professional members, 2) enhance PPP member Chapter attendance, involvement, and Board representation, 3) provide increased opportunity for PPP interaction. Present PPP members include:
CPAE and CSP
CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) recognizes a continuing commitment to education, experience and ethical behaviors. To achieve this designation, individuals must deliver 250 paid presentations over a five-year period while earning at least 32 education units in that period and meeting other professional criteria set by NSA.
CPAE (Council of Peers Award for Excellence) designates members of NSA’s Speaking Hall of Fame. No more than five NSA members per year (out of a general membership of 4,000) receive this honor. Candidates are nominated by current CPAEs and reviewed by a special panel on the basis of the originality of their material, uniqueness of style, experience, delivery technique, image, reputation, professionalism and ability to relate to their audiences.
